The Story of Taffy Town
Originally known as The Glade Candy Company, our founder, James Glade, started a candy company in 1916 here in Utah. Offering everything from salt water taffy and hard candies to chocolates and more, The Glade Candy Company was a staple in the community and an iconic full-line candy manufacturer.
Then, in the 1990s, David Glade's grandson decided to change our name to "Taffy Town, Inc." and focus all our candy-making efforts on total taffy excellence. While remembering the company's history and commitment to excellence, this multi-generational leadership has shaped Taffy Town's success. Never looking back, we've developed a process uniquely Taffy Town, reflecting Utah's entrepreneurial culture's charm and innovative spirit. By blending traditional craftsmanship with hard work, ingenuity, and a sense of community, we've created a delicious, one-of-a-kind treat we are proud to share with the world.
What Makes Our Taffy Stand Out?
We use a whipped process, unlike other taffy makers who pull their taffy. Our unique whipping process gives our taffy a softer and chewier texture than traditional salt water taffy. We aim for a fluffy taffy that's easy to eat without leaving bits of candy stuck in between your teeth.
Along with our rare taffy-making process, we also offer over 90 different taffy flavors. We're constantly developing out-of-this-world taffy flavors that push the status quo. Our new and exciting flavors are great additions to our taffy family, but our customers are continually loyal to our standard taffy flavors like banana and peppermint.

We make our delicious taffy in our 43,000-square-foot factory and taffy store in West Jordan, Utah.
In 2016, we were awarded the UMA's Manufacturer of the Year Award.
